Fast Wavelength Switching Technique in DFB Array with High-Stable Output Power and Large Tuning Range

Abstract(in English) We have invented fast wavelength switching method which combines the manipulation of the laser injection current with thermal compensation. In this paper, we propose the switching techniques with high-stable output power and large tuning range. The switching time of less than 100 ms is obtained with the output frequency of ±0.1 GHz and the output power of ?±0.05 dB by using the thermal compensation for the change of the SOA injection current. The SiO2 LD submount which have the low thermal conductivity allows us to realize the large tuning range of 35 nm.
