[Tutorial Lecture] Key Points for Wireless Power Transfer System Design

Abstract(in English) Wireless power transfer is highlighted as non-contact charging for electric vehicles. In the high-power circuit, not only energy saving but also high efficiency and low loss are important. Efficiency improvement is progressing in the field of high-frequency power supply and RF power amplifier coupled with the improvement of semiconductor performance. In kilowatt class electric power, however, the ohmic loss in the matching circuit consisting of passive components should never be ignored. Therefore, this presentation introduces an experimental wireless power transfer system with electric-field resonance for an electric vehicle at our university as an example. We show the design key points of the matching circuit.
