Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In order to provide a simple and accurate method for quality assessment of end-user experience in hands-free communication, we propose a new subjective evaluation method for acoustic echo cancellers. The proposed method is similar to a widely-used evaluation method for IP phone communication but modified to be adjusted for hands-free communication. Subjective listening test results are compared with objective evaluation scores of Perceptual Evaluation of Speech Quality (PESQ). It was found that there was a correlation between the listening test results and PESQ scores. This result shows that the objective quality can be estimated by using PESQ scores.
