抄録(和) | There are several different approaches to design spherical lenses that have higher surface permittivity than free space, ranging from brute force optimization using full wave simulators to optimization using Spherical Wave Expansion code to closed form analytic equations. The Sochacki closed form equations were used to design 3 lenses for which the radial variation in r will be implemented as effective media produced by molding or milling natural plastics r=2.1 (TPX or PTFE), r=2.3 (high density PE) and r=2.53 (xPS). As a first step, 8 wavelength radius 4, 6, 8 and 10 layer implementations of the 3 lens designs were simulated in commercially available software, giving aperture efficiencies of 80 to 90%. |
