Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Vibration-based communication, which realizes communication by propagating vibration with information on a solid medium, has been proposed. The authors have considered the way to realize this communication only by using function of smartphone. In the previous research, we investigate vibration-based communication with Amplitude Shift Keying method by changing vibration amplitude. In addition, we changed the strength of vibration by changing smartphone’s vibration motor activating time. However, depending on the size of the device and strength of the built-in motor, communication could not be performed with this proposed method in some cases. In this research, we propose new signal modulation method to resolve the problem. Furthermore, we show the result of evaluation experiment, which conducted communication by implementing proposed system as Android application. We evaluate proposed system by comparing bit error rate and communication speed of obtained result and existing system.
