[Invited Talk] Radio Propagation of Millimeter Waves and Sensor Network for Next Generation IoT

Abstract(in English) The use of millimeter waves for 5th generation mobile communication and wireless LAN are progressing. While ray tracing method is one of the main methods for radio propagation analysis, there are some cases when ray tracing results don’t match the propagation mechanism due to the decrease in wavelength. This paper introduces analysis based on physical optics method and diffuse scattering. Furthermore, in IoT systems where enormous amount of communication occurs between things, examples of radio propagation analysis in the manufacturing fields and LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) are also introduced.
