Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes an indoor localization method based on fingerprint using Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) of BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy). In fingerprinting, first, the transmitter is placed at a predetermined candidate position. Second, the combination of RSSIs obtained by each receiver is measured as teacher data. Third, the position is estimated by maximum likelihood estimation by comparing RSSI and teacher data. However, even if the distance between the transmitter and the receiver is static, RSSI fluctuates probabilistically due to environmental factors, so the estimation accuracy may decrease. Therefore, in this paper, we will examine the localization method based on probability theory using RSSI histograms as fingerprint teacher data. Furthermore, by applying kernel density estimation to each RSSI histogram, the likelihood histogram is abstracted with respect to RSSI variation. Finally, we evaluate the proposed method by indoor localization experiments.
