Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new design criterion of adaptively scaled belief (ASB) in Gaussian belief propagation (GaBP) and probabilistic data association (PDA), especially for large multiuser multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) detection. In practical MU detection (MUD) scenarios, the most vital issue with regard to improving the iterative convergence property of BP-based algorithms is how to deal with approximation errors due to the fact that the law of large numbers does not work well. As the simplest way to suppress the harmful impacts of approximation errors, a novel adaptive belief scaling is proposed while stabilizing dynamics of random MIMO channels. Finally, the validity of ASB for the BP-based iterative detection is confirmed regarding the suppression of bit error rate (BER) floor level by computer simulations.
