Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Adaptive modulation and coding is one of the important fundamental technologies for wireless communications. It aims to maintain the maximum throughput of transmission according to the channel conditions by selecting the modulation index and the coding rate. On the other hands, Polar code is one of the linear coding scheme, which asymptotically achieves the channel capacity with longer code length. However, to perform the strong correcting ability, it is necessary to select frozen bits properly. The frozen bit is a commonly known bit between the transmitter and the receiver. Utilizing this property of Polar code, in this paper, we propose and investigate an adaptive coding scheme of Polar code which selects the coding rate in the transmitter and estimate it in the receiver. The performances are evaluated through numerical simulations.
