| Abstract(in English) | Power consumption of OLEDs when they are used for games is decreased by reducing the luminance of background region of the image. Compared to natural image, the game image has simple object structure and they has different colors. Using this characteristic, game images are segmented by color similarity. Then, background region is extracted according to the size of segmented region. Precision and recall for background extraction for 50 images selected from 10 popular game applications are 88% and 76%, respectively. Computer simulation shows 25% power saving when the pixel values of background region is reduced 30%. |
