A Study on Phased-Array Calibration with Amplitude-Only Measurements

Abstract(in English) A novel amplitude-only measurement method has been proposed to measure each element field for phased-array calibration. In the proposed method, each element field is modulated in both amplitude and phase, and the corresponding element field can be specified by signal-processing with the array power variation due to the modulation. According to the proposed method, individual element fields can be uniquely specified by amplitude-only measurements. In this report, we present the measurement theory, and validate the proposed method through numerical simulations.
