Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In recent years, it is profoundly demanded to measure radar cross-section (RCS) for electrically large objects. When the scattering pattern of RCS is measured, the RCS is usually evaluated in the far-field region. If measurement facility employs radio anechoic camber in order to avoid unnecessary reflected wave, therefore, it is sometime occurred to deviate from the condition of the far-field region according to the size or the measuring frequency. In a case that an object under test is especially an electrically large object such as airplane, automobile, the RCS accurate measurement becomes to be considerably difficult. The near-field to far-field transformation (NFFFT) is developed for this case. Because RCS is two-way measurement, which is different from antenna one-way, RCS NFFFT theory employs image-based transformation algorithm of all several existing NFFFT methods. In this paper, we present three-dimension cylindrical scanning NFFFT formulation, which is extended to be improved by introducing the focusing compensation. Furthermore, we discuss transformed measurement results due to the developed software package named KOSIP and some notes for measurement.
