Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Nowadays, the wireless communication system has been the essential community infrastructure for our life. Recently, the higher frequency bands are expected to be utilized in fifth generation cellular (5G) system to improve the network capacity drastically. However, further investigations are still necessary to justify the feasibility of those bands for the mobile communication. In this paper, we introduce the diffuse scattering characteristics in 11 GHz band in indoor environments. We clarified that the diffuse scattering waves widely spread in the propagation delay and azimuth angle domain, and they influenced on the MIMO channel characteristics, especially in shadow regions and cross polarization regions. Meanwhile, the radio propagation research of lower frequency band is focused again owing to the recent spread of the Internet of Things (IoT) system. In this paper, we developed the radio measurement system by using Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to realize measurements in the high-rise environment and conducted the Outdoor-to-Indoor propagation loss measurement in 4.9 GHz band. We clarified that the building entry loss lessened in the specific part of the non-Line-of-Sight region where reflection waves from the of the interior walls existed. The results are expected to be utilized for system designand service cell planning in the future wireless system.
