Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Listeners use changes in binaural information as perceptual cues for sound image motion. Some researchers have pointed out that the sensitivity of the motion of approaching sound is different from that of receding sound. However, changes in binaural information may cause sensitivity differences during not only sound image motion but also listener's motion. In this study, we investigated the detection threshold of auditory apparent motion during listener's forward self-motion and analyzed the direction dependency of the sensitivity. Then we examined effects of the distance between a listener and the sound image. Results indicated that only the detection threshold of the motion of receding sound was increased when the listeners were moving. Moreover, listeners tended to perceive receding sound as approaching when listeners were moving.
