Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We describe a new design concept of a 1 × N arrayed-waveguide optical switch. While the optical power ratio between arrayed waveguides has been assumed to be a Gaussian due to Fraunhofer diffraction in a conventional design, we show that a slight modification of the optical power ratio successfully suppresses a crosstalk by employing a sinc function.
