[Poster Presentation] Etalon-filter-based mode hop detection for wavelength tunable lasers

Abstract(in English) At the multi-electrode tunable laser diodes, mode hops appear when we sweep the wavelength with tuning currents. Therefore, making the mapping data that shows mode-hopping area is necessary for continuous wavelength sweeping. At the conventional method, the mode-hopping area was detected from the measured wavelength by a light wavelength meter or the observed spectrum by optical spectrum analyzer, which requires long measurement time. In this report, we devised simple mode hop detection method with an etalon filter to make a map of the mode-hopping area.
