Abstract(in English) | Device-to-Device (D2D) networks can provide a number of important roles including traffic offload of main networks, reduction of latency in the air interface, and increasing throughput at hot-spots. The authors have been studying the device discovery protocols for the purpose of enabling low latency connection among local devices. We proposed to use common channel and group channels for quickening device discovery. In this report, we conduct computer simulation using the surperframe structure specified in the draft of IEEE802.15.8 with the assumption that all interested devices are synchronized. Device discovery performance of our proposed method and conventional method are evaluated. The results verify the effectiveness of our proposed method. |
