Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Humans usually perceive their self-motion depending on various information such as visual, vestibular, and somatosensory information. In this study, , we investigated the time course of changes in perceived self-motion by manipulating such information independently to produce rotational motion about the yaw-axis under the conditions in which visual and vestibular information are consistent or inconsistent to each other. The results showed that relative contribution of visual and vestibular (somatosensory) information gradually changes from the phase of acceleration to that of constant speed.
