Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Since a lot of high performance mobile phones are emerging and most ofdelivered packets from and into such devices become data ones instead of voice ones, various wireless links such as WiMAX, LTE, and WiFi have pervaded all over the world. In our previous work, we have proposed a progressive download method which establishes multiple TCP flows on each of multiple network paths. However, it requires the information on the network condition, such as bandwidth, round trip delay, and packet loss ratio in advance. In our previous paper, we have introduced a timer-driven requesting scheme, which is inspired by MCFTP and does not need any information on current network status, into the progressive download method using multiple TCP flows on each of multiple paths. However, out-of-order block arrivals should be alleviated to achieve high playback rate on progressive download processes. In this research, some block requesting schemes are proposed and evaluated through simulation experiments.
