Abstract(in English) | In this paper, we consider an adaptive FIR filter based PAPR reduction scheme for OFDM system. In the transmitter, to reduce the PAPR of a transmitted signal, the weighting coefficients of the FIR filter is deter- mined by minimizing the $L^{p}$? norm of the transmitted signal using the gradient descent method. In the receiver, demodulation can be perfomed without side information by estimating the effective channel consisting of the FIR filter and the physical channel. When the channel is static, fewer pilot symbols are sufficient for demodulation by estimating only the FIR filter coefficients. Simulation results show that significant PAPR reduction can be achieved by using an appropriate p. Moreover, we show that superior BER performance can be obtained by the channel estimation where the number of pilot symbols is equal to the FIR filter length. |
