A Study on Adaptive Algorithm for Blind MIMO Equalization

Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a blind equalization system in a Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) -OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system. CMA (Constant Modulus Algorithm) was generally used as a conventional adaptive algorithm for blind MIMO equalization. However, CMA has a problem that a solution converges on a local minimum because its evaluation function is quartic. In order to solve the problem, the adaptive filter, that error surface is transformed into quadratic, is introduced to a blind equalization. Therefore, the convergence performance is improved.
