Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Although the focus of interest in blockchain technology has been on its potential application in the financial industry, applications in many other areas are also being considered. One of these areas is the education sector, with proposals such as registering academic certificates on the Bitcoin blockchain, for example. In this paper, we conduct a literature review on the application of blockchain technology for academic institutions, as well as current projects, and classify them according to use cases. Finally, we discuss the benefits and limitations for the use of blockchain technology in this sector.
