| Abstract(in English) | Video streaming is one of the most attractive use case of Information-Centric Networking (ICN) since it can show the benefit of ICN from both traffic reduction with in-network caching and load balancing with name-based forwarding. Therefore, this topic is actively investigated in both academia and industry, and many papers and technical drafts are published. However, evaluation of these papers is mainly done in the simulation and actual benefit and performance of current video streaming over ICN is not yet discovered. To verify these aspects, we performed a preliminary experiment of video streaming over ICN using an ICN testbed. And our testbed is composed of six physical nodes that are located in Japan and Germany. This paper is the first research of ICN for global scale video distribution. |
