Abstract(in English) There are attempts to support maritime traffic with smartphone service. Survey of the mobile data communication quality on the sea is considered to be effective for realizing better smartphone system/service. In this paper, we describe about LTE/3G communication quality in the Coastal Waters of Tokyo. Three times of 3-days surveys were conducted on the same route and revealed some characteristics of data communication at target area.
