Extraction of Color Regions on a Color Glove Using Gaussian Mixture Model Estimation

Abstract(in English) In this study, the authors have researched the extraction accuracy of color regions using Gaussian Mixture Model Estimation. Each Gaussian distribution is estimated using the EM algorithm. The extraction threshold of each color is the intersection of two Gaussian distributions. The authors have compared the GMM estimation method with a k-means method. 4 types of lights and 19 wrist rotation angles have been changed in evaluation experiments. At the end of this research, the authors conclude the GMM estimation method is superior to the k-means method.
