Abstract(in English) In recent years, optical OFDM, which is based on OFDM conventionally used for wireless communication, has been studied to improve the spectral efficiency. We have been investigating an optical OFDM demultiplexer using Si waveguide structure as a method to make optical OFDM system smaller and lower power consumption. However, there is a problem that the transmissivity spectrum cannot be easily controlled with phase shifters existing in the waveguide due to fabrication error, and thus the desired operation cannot be realized. Therefore, in this study, we have introduced the phase monitors that identifies the phase of each waveguide by interfering split signals from the waveguides, and evaluated the characteristics in experiments. As a result, the transmissivity spectrum of the device became significantly different from the simulation results. We will report on the investigation of the cause of discrepancy.
