Abstract(in English) | The hand and finger motions are achieved by the cooperative action of the forearm which includes extrinsic muscles, and the fingers which include intrinsic muscles. Precise discrimination is possible by using surface electromyography(sEMG) of the intrinsic muscle in delicate finger motion analysis. Since wet electrodes are often used in myoelectric measurement, we aim to realize the development of a new user interface based on EMG information of the fingers, and we developed a wearable glove type electrode using dry electrodes. Using this glove, we measured the myoelectric potential of ten subjects during the tapping operation, and tapping gesture discrimination was performed between the same subjects and between different subjects. As a result, while the discrimination accuracy of similar studies of tapping motion discrimination is 85.77%, the accuracy in our experiments using theglove recorded 90.28% and suggested significance as an EMG-based interface. |
