Abstract(in English) In the CSMA/CA (Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Avoidance) widely accepted as the media access control scheme for the Inter-Vehicle Communication (IVC) systems, the hidden station problem may result in a degradation of the transmission quality.However, there has been no study tried to evaluate the hidden station problem in the IVC of huge road network environment.In this paper, we evaluate the effect of hidden station problem by using the traffic simulator which demonstrates the road network, the channel propagation simulator and the network simulator based on CSMA/CA.First, we demonstrate stations which move in the road network by the traffic simulator and determine the location of the station at each time.Next, we construct the connectivity among the stations owing to the relationship between the CCA (Clear Channel Assessment) and the RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) by the channel propagation simulator based on the propagation model in some experimental measurements.And, we simulate the stations which transmit the frame based on specification of ARIB STD-T109 and show an effect of the hidden station problem on the transmission quality by counting the number of the collision frames caused by the hidden station.
