Abstract(in English) | It is difficult to apply the point positioning technique based on the Global Positioning Systems (GPS) to a new one based on the wireless LAN system owing to a clock synchronization problem. On the other hand, the kinematic positioning technique in the GPS can compensate the clock errors at both the transmitter and the receiver by getting the difference between the observations. In this paper, we report on a basic investigation to applythe kinematic positioning to the wireless LAN systems for the indoor positioning. We propose a new kinematic positioning technique for the wireless LAN by using an advantage that the access points can play a role as a base station unlike the GPS. We show some numerical examples for evaluations of the proposed method considering an observation error by computer simulations. |
