Abstract(in English) | Myoelectric artificial hand is expected to be wireless from the viewpoint of improving the convenience. Meanwhile, electromagnetic interference on such type bio-signal controlled robots cannot be ignored. For example, a charged human body can cause electrostatic discharge (ESD) and it may affect the normal action of robots because of its wide band frequency components.In this study, we developed a human body communication based on wireless transceiver which employs IR-MPPM (Impulse Radio-Multiple Pulse Position Modulation) method in the 10-50 MHz band. We first evaluated its communication performance by transmitting a myoelectric signal for controlling the myoelectric artificial hand.Then we conducted an ESD test for the developed wireless myoelectric artificial hand under the IEC 61000-4-2 standard, and compared the malfunction rate in the case of wired and wireless transmission of myoelectric signals.As a result, the malfunction rate was improved in the case of wireless compared to the wired transmission. |
