Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new method for action recognition of a person using a pan-tilt-zoom camera. The proposed method combines the motion recognition by dense trajectories and the object tracking by particle filters for high-accurate motion recognition. The information obtained from the particle filters is used for reducing unnecessary trajectories and the results of the dense trajectories affect the generation of the particles in the particles filters for the robustness of the tracking. The combination of the dense trajectories and the particle filters can achieve a high-accurate motion recognition. The proposed method applied several motion sequences and the processing results show the effectiveness of the proposed method.
