Abstract(in English) | This paper describes a method of dynamically controlling BLE beacons, and an indoor BLE beacon-based guidance system that holds the promise of truly-accurate geographical positioning. RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indication) is the means by which mobile phones estimate distances to all beacons within range. Some degree of positioning error occurs naturally, however, as the result of microwave reflection and scattering. So we propose a method of dynamically controlling BLE beacons’ transmission intervals, for the purpose of improving BLE-beacon identification. In experiments assisted by a volunteer “pedestrian”, we confirmed both the scheduled time control of the BLE beacons and the speech-guidance assisted by the sequentially-switched BLE beacons. In an upcoming work, we will use NTPs (network time protocols) for each BLE beacon’s time control. |
