Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The optical motion capture system can measure the 3-D motion of infrared light reflective markers secured to measuring objects. One of its problems is that repetitive use of the markers gradually deteriorates their reflection characteristic due to the separation and/or stain of a reflective material, resulting in the increase of measurement error. In measurement site, however, deteriorated markers might be still used because the marker deterioration has been judged subjectively. Then this study proposed a digital camera-based method of judging the marker deterioration objectively and easily in measuring site. In order to reduce light environment effects, we photographed a subject marker and a referential normal marker located next to the subject simultaneously. Then we evaluated the deterioration level of the subject from the difference between the gray-scale histograms of images of the subject and the reference, and judged whether the subject is deteriorated or not by means of discriminant analysis. Experiments using 25 deteriorated markers and 10 normal markers verified that the subject could be judged in a positive discrimination rate of 88.0[%] |
