Abstract(in English) | In V2X-DSRC based Crash Warning Application (CWA), to prevent congestion of information frames of CWA-information frames increases the number of accommodated nodes (vehicles and pedestrians). The number is the maximum number of the nodes to meet the CWA requirements, a specific number of received frames. Higher speed nodes is likely to receive smaller number of frames at a certain time before a potential crash. To compensate the number, relay method for CWA-information frames was a promising way to increase the number of frames. Because of producing frame congestion by redundant relay frames, conventional relay methods looks difficult to be applied to CWA application which uses broadcast communications. This paper proposes Broadcast Assist method. The proposed method can suppress the redundant relay frames by two novel ideas. First idea is to estimate the number of necessary additional frames by considering the capture effect. Second idea is to probabilistically relay a frame without excessive or insufficient amount and with suitable to an autonomous decentralized manner of CWA. Simulation results show the proposed method could accommodate 74% more nodes than that of flooding method. |
