Abstract(in English) | Recently, the research and development, and standardization regarding the 5th generation mobile network (5G) have been actively discussed. In the 5G, the use cases are largely classified into eMBB (Enhanced Mobile BroadBand), URLCC (Ultra Reliable Low Latency), and mIoT (massive Internet of Thing). Then, the mobile system is expected to provide distinctly different requirements (e.g., performance, feature, and etc. The 3rd generation partnership project (3GPP) introduces a set of virtual network functions (so-called ‘network slice’) which enable a mobile core network to accommodate the dedicated sub-systems individually meeting these the different requirements in an effective manner. Their 5G specification also includes the mechanism to reduce the number of signaling in UE’s attachment procedures into the network slice, when the subscription of the UEs are changed. This paper introduces the schedule of the 5G standardization of the 3GPP and the feature related to the mobile core at first. Secondly, this paper introduces the architecture overview adopting the network slice realized in the mobile core network of 5G which has been standardized in Release 15 in the viewpoints of UE and mobile core network. |
