Narrow Band Interference-Resistant Scheme Employing Multimode DCM for Wireless LAN Systems

Abstract(in English) Currently, in various wireless LAN systems, there is a possibility of narrow-band interferences from the other communication systems and so on. As a method to reduce these interferences, this study uses DCM (Dual Carrier Modulation) that distributes and transmits information to separated subcarriers of OFDM signals. By performing demodulation of DCM using only information of subcarriers not affected by interferences, degradation due to narrow-band interferences can be reduced. Corresponding to BPSK and QPSK modulation schemes, the proposed multimode DCM has been evaluated. It was confirmed that the improvement of BER characteristics can be obtained by the proposed scheme against narrow-band-interferences.
