Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, a frequency assignment method that is based on Model Predictive Control (MPC). A broadband satellite communications system that deals with temporal and spatial variations in traffic demand and link status is required. In order to utilize satellite resources efficiently, we study on control strategies for the satellite communications system. In this paper, we focus on frequency flexibility and consider an efficient frequency assignment method. Suppose that a time variation model of traffic demand is known in advance. By using the model, we formulate a method that determines an optimal assignment in the sense of call-loss and control frequency based on MPC and $ell_1$-optimization. Finally, we verify the effectiveness of the proposed method in a numerical simulation.
