[Poster Presentation] A Study on Modulation Scheme with MC-CDMC for Satellite Transmission

Abstract(in English) Development of large capacity transmission systems aiming at extended definition television in satellite broadcasting has been advanced. It is necessary to increase the transmission rate and improve the power efficiency. OFDM is known to have high spectral efficiency. However, it is not practical to be applied in satellite transmission because OFDM has high peak power. In this paper, we introduced MC-CDMC (Multi Carrier - Code Division Multiplexing Code) scheme, which is a combination of DFT and code derived from M sequence, to the modulation scheme. We obtained the result that out-of-band emission can be controlled by using MC-CDMC. We show that the transmission rate and required CNR are improved.
