Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As the use of “telemedical” technologies becomes more commonplace, real-time feedback from one’s doctors and other caregivers takes on ever-greater importance. It gives patients a real sense of connection, security, wellbeing and support, greatly reducing the likelihood of the patient deciding to opt out of his or her program. Here, we describe a rehabilitation support application operating on tablet computers, whereby patients can communicate with their doctors, and have greater access to information regarding their condition. We designed the terminal’s interface to be intuitive, with text input by V.R. Our most recent tests of the system revealed that we still have work to do, in both areas.
