Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Research and development of advanced driver assistance and automated driving technologies have been actively conducted aiming at safer mobility. Millimeter wave FMCW (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave) radar has several attractive features such as excellent detection performance in rainy weather and/or in dark or harsh environments and its low cost implementation, thus wide deployment of many radar sensors will result in significant inter-radar interference among a number of FMCW radars in near future. The inter-radar interference causes signal to noise ratio (SNR) degradation, resulting in miss-detection of targets. To solve this problem, we have proposed a time-domain interference detection and suppression scheme to improve SNR degradation caused by the inter-radar interference however, inter-radar interference among multiple FMCW radars with various received level and/or different chirp rate remains for further study. This report proposes a novel iterative interference detection and suppression technique which can suppress inter-radar interference among multiple FMCW radars with various received level and chirp rate and describes performance evaluation results by computer simulation. |
