Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Wi-SUN is one of the global wireless communication standards for machine-to-machine systems such as typified by smart metering systems, and it has been introducing into various systems. In Japan, the U-Bus Air has been standardized for gas and water smart metering systems by the Japan utility telemetering association (JUTA), and the Wi-SUN Alliance has been developing a profile of the physical and media access control (MAC) layers to drive the U-Bus Air. The Wi-SUN JUTA profile adopts the IEEE 802.15.4 complied feathery receiver initiated transmission (F-RIT) MAC protocol. Although the fundamental transmission performance of the protocol has been evaluated experimentally by authors, we newly develops the JUTA profile complied F-RIT that achieves U-Bus Air communication sequence with the general Wi-SUN modules, and the experimental evaluation proves the feasibility. The experiments in interference environments with up to 50 terminals proved that the JUTA profile complied F-RIT achieves the high transmission performance for smart metering systems.
