| Abstract(in English) | Recently, mobile terminals equipped with GPS (global positioning system) such as smartphones have widely spreaded, and various services usingusers' location information have been also getting popular. Althoughthose services are provided on the client/server model in many cases, a problem would occur especially in real-time communication: Transmissiondelay must increase due to relaying the server. One of solutions to thisproblem is a peer-to-peer (P2P) communication model. In P2P communication, data are directly sent/received among user terminals (peers). This ispractically suitable for real-time systems since the P2P communicationdelay will be shorter than the client/server model. In this paper, wepropose a communication platform for location-based P2P networks that cansend data including location information to surrounding terminals byusing the P2P model. We evaluate the communication delay of the proposedcommunication method in static and dynamic environments and also analyzethe time required when a terminal sends data with its location informationto another surrounding terminal. |
