Abstract(in English) Continuous latent variable model is a category of dimension reduction methods, which estimates low dimensional latent variables from high dimensional data, and estimates the manifold in which the data distribute. The purpose of this research is to establish a theory and algorithms of continuous latent variable model in the probabilistic model space. In this study, we employ the Gaussianness of the latent variable posteriors as the indicator of the smoothness of the manifold. As a result, the theory of probabilistic kernel smoothing by non-negative kernel could be derived. In this paper, we introduce the idea and the theory we have constructed, and report on the algorithms under development.
