Abstract(in English) | In high-speed and wide-band wireless communications, it is widely known that delayed paths arriving from various directions due to reflection or scattering have strong influence on transmission quality. In the physical layer design of wireless communication systems, radio propagation characteristics are analyzed and the channel model considering the radio propagation characteristics becomes an important tool for system evaluation. For conventional Ultra-Wide Band (UWB) systems, the CLEAN algorithm has often been used to extract arrival paths for channel modeling. When extracting the arrival rays from channel impulse responses (CIRs) by the CLEAN algorithm, only the amplitude of the CIRs were considered, and phase information was not utilized. In this study, the CLEAN algorithm is applied to complex-valued CIRs, and the CLEAN algorithm considering the phase information is compared with the conventional CLEAN algorithm. In addition, the results are also compared with the SAGE algorithm, which is a super-resolution parameter estimation algorithm that also includes phase information, and the influence of phase information on accurate path extraction is reported. |
