[Poster Presentation] Performance of Adjacent Channel Interference in a System Consisting of OFDM and FBMC

Abstract(in English) OFDM can overcome multipath fading just by performing 1-tap equalization, which is suitable for high speed wireless communications systems. However OFDM has a problem of interfering neighboring systems due to large out-of-band radiation. On the other hand, FBMC has been proposed as an alternative approach which makes it possible to reduce out-of-band radiation power compared to OFDM by applying pulse shaping to each subcarrier, which leads to solving the problem of interference between neighboring systems. In this report, we take up a system consisting of OFDM and FBMC and clarify the effect of the combinations of these modulation schemes on the transmission performance in consideration of adjacent channel interference by means of computer simulations.
