Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The CS-USM with ultrasonic power circulation type structure using Π-shaped acoustic waveguide was developed in the previous research. However, the driving efficiency is as low as 0.8% and efficiency improvement is required. In this study, single transducer type CS-USM was fabricated using stainless steel (SUS 304), titanium, and copper for the acoustic waveguide material. Revolution speed measurement and vibration distribution measurement were carried out using the fabricated single transducer type CS-USM. In the revolution speed measurement, we could observe the revolution speed higher than 1800 rpm which is the required for the IVUS systems. In the vibration distribution measurement, the propagation velocity of the elastic wave with thickness direction displacement was obtained from the driving frequency and the measured wavelength
