Abstract(in English) | Recently, behavioral testing of disease model mice have been performed to study mechanisms of and treatment for neurological or psychiatric disorders. The appearance of learned behavior is strongly dependent on not only higher-order brain function but also various aspects of the animal including motor ability and emotional characteristic. Therefore to evaluate the higher-order brain function, it is necessary to integrate the results of multiple types of behavioral testing. This demand increases the cost of study using disease model mice. To resolve this problem, we are developing the virtual-reality (VR) behavioral testing system for mice which allows multiple types of testing only by one equipment. In this paper, we report several improvements of the system for increasing the utility and usability. |
