Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, a central pattern generator (CPG) model coupled by asynchronous cellular automaton oscillators is investigated. Depending on parameter values, the model exhibits synchronization suitable for forward locomotions of a snake-like robot. Also the model is implemented on an field programable gate array (FPGA) and its operation is validated by hardware experiments. Then it is shown that the model consume less hardware resources than a conventional CPG model.
