Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The combination of low-rate channel coding with simple decoder and non-orthogonal multiple access is promising in order to simultaneously achieve low latency and high reliability without sacrificing spectral efficiency. When the non-orthogonal multiple access scheme is employed in the uplink of a cellular network in which each user is subject to different propagation loss depending on its distance from the base station (BS), the error rate performance of the user located far from the BS is significantly degraded due to strong interference by the user closer to the BS. In this paper, we consider an uplink non-orthogonal multiple access scheme based on MIMO-OFDM with super-orthogonal convolutional code (SOCC) which is a class of low-rate convolutional code, and propose an adaptive coding algorithm that assigns suitable constraint length to each user in order to improve the performance of the users located in the cell edge. Numerical results demonstrate that our system with the proposed algorithm outperforms the conventional orthogonal multiple access scheme in terms of reliability and spectral efficiency.
