Design of Address Assignment for Multi-Domain Photonic L2 Network

Abstract(in English) In increasing communication traffic and diversifying services, progress of photonic networks and nodes are required. As a solution to that, Smart Photonic Networking (SPN) has been proposed. In the SPN, A new layer 2 specialized for transport and correspond to wide area and multi-domains is required, that is called Photonic Layer 2. For the Photonic Layer 2, it is required to simplify routing by integrating multi-domains and address aggregation. Therefore, it is necessary to construct a new address structure and resolve address without using broadcast. In this paper, we report the result of the address structure design for supporting multi-domains in the Photonic Layer 2.
